Yes, I do realize I made an FST only three days ago, but what can I say? When you're driving a car for over four hours straight, you get ideas. :|

This FST is a little different than most. Instead of collecting songs that reminded me of Phoenix/Edgeworth by various artists, I stuck with songs sung by Frank Sinatra. I have a couple reasons for this, the first of which is that my Phoenix is a huge Sinatra fan, and secondly--about a year ago--he shared that fact with Edgeworth, who has since become a closet fan himself. Not only is that something they unknowingly share with one another, but Sinatra's music just seems to fit them, and in my mind, they could easily fit into the era when Sinatra was at the height of his popularity.

Anyway, I know the fact that all the songs are sung by the same person might be a deterrent, but if you happen download it, I hope you enjoy. :) The cover art was edited from some lovely fanart by Wan-Con, whose site has long been defunct. 8(

All righty, this is my second go at a Phoenix Wright FST, and I have to say I'm much more pleased with this one than I ever was with my last one (I like to pretend it doesn't exist, sshh). Normally, I'd give explanations for why I chose each song, but the truth of it is they're all about standing up in the face of adversity, cherishing your friends, and helping others, so I figured the snippets of lyrics themselves would be self-explanatory.

Anyway, I hope you enjoy! :D

ATTENTION ACE ATTORNEY PLAYERS

I think I mentioned this to most of you. This is a general plotty post that I encourage you to track, since we're not all on at the same time. This way, if we have an idea that we'd like to get the whole AA cast involved in, we don't have to hunt each other down--we can just post it here! Plotting over AIM is still encouraged, of course; we can summarize what was talked about here for the people who might not have been involved so everyone is always on the same page.

Okay, I'm going to do something a little different here. Because Phoenix is, canonically, the type of person to keep notes on people, I'm going to make a file for myself that contains all the details he's learned about other characters so I don't keep forgetting them. I actually ran into this problem the other day, and I don't want to have to try to come up with an IC excuse for why he's forgotten/disregarded some information when he shouldn't have. SO. What I want you to do iiisss...

Sooo... I've kind of been struggling with Phoenix for a long time now, and I think it's because I've gotten away from several of the characteristics that actually make him him in favor of concentrating on one or two. I didn't really notice what it was until just recently, so this change has been kind of gradual over the course of quite a few months, I think...

Anyway, this is just a general, "oh hai, i'm trying to get back to canon" post, so... Phoenix might seem a little different while I try to adjust. Bear with me?

This also accounts for why I've been dropping so many threads lately. In addition to being generally busy, I'm also just not feeling the threads I have most of the time, so I'm going to try to fix that. I'm really sorry. :(

If anyone has any advice, I'd appreciate it. Phoenix is my main character here; I've had him for over a year and a half now, and I'm not ready to give up on him yet! So please, if you can think of any ways I can fix him or can tell me what I need to change (or don't need to change, even), I would love you forever if you shared your thoughts. ;3;/

Okay, so this is sort of like a permissions meme. First of all, I'd like to once again point to my little essay thing about the Magatama, in case you're not sure what it is. This is going to serve as a handy list for my own reference and potential future plotting!

NOTE: I just want to make it absolutely clear that Phoenix will not randomly use the Magatama on people.

He has to have a reason for it, and for the most part, he won't use it unless he thinks he has sufficient evidence to figure out what a person is hiding. The Magatama does, however, trigger when people are actively keeping secrets from him. It could always be fun to do an RL where the Magatama is triggered, Phoenix is just sort of like "huh..." but doesn't do anything about it... until later, should a reason pop up. :3

Actually, that's usually how the game works. The psyche locks will trigger, but Phoenix won't find out why until later.

ANYWAY, ENOUGH BABBLING. Here, fill this thing out:

Example:
NAME: Phoenix Wright
SECRETS: He doesn't have many secrets, but there are certain things he's uncomfortable talking about that might trigger psyche locks, such as his past with "Dollie" and what she tried to do to him. The fact that he has the Magatama alone is probably one of his biggest secrets.
HOW BIG/DEEPLY BURIED ARE THESE SECRETS? For reference, the bigger or more deeply buried the secret is, the more psyche locks appear and the harder it is to unlock them. Phoenix's secrets aren't very big. The Dollie thing would probably produce one or two psyche locks at most, and the Magatama... well, it would depend on who's asking him.
OPEN TO PLOTTING? Y!!!

Anyway... Just a note that I'm going to be dropping all of my threads except RLs. I haven't been feeling things lately, and my activity's been kind of sporadic, so it's... definitely time to take a break and start fresh. I've been on hiatus for a little while, commenting on things that strike me, but I obviously haven't been able to keep up. Sorry to anyone I've let down. ;-;

Buuhh... The last few weeks have been murder on me and I haven't had much free time to do anything, and I'm so tired during the free time I do get that I just... don't want to do anything but putz around on the internet. @_@

So I just want to apologize to the people I've left hanging. I've averaged about one tag per thread per day, and I don't see that changing just yet. Sorry. ;-;

So yeah, this is a semi-hiatus. Still around for mod things and whatnot, but I can't tag much right now.

I've been a little busier than usual lately (home, work, you know the drill), so any active threads I have are gonna be on hold for a couple days (...and kind of have been since yesterday). Sorry, gaiz. ;o; The same goes for Tif, too.
